Here's an overview of a medium-sized, 14 week website project.

Immersion Phase

Immersion

1 week

Ahead of the website kick off we'll immerse ourselves in your brief, company, and scope of work. We'll carry out competitor and industry analysis, a brand audit and start formulating a first draft of a sitemap. We'll mood board some visual concept directions if needed for the kick off. We'll also formulate your KOTA team.

Structure UX

Structure (UX)

2 weeks

The most important part of any website is having a clear and concise structure in order for users to be able to find the relevant content quickly and easily. We'll wireframe your website as a clickable prototype, ensuring your content is structured correctly, creating a user experience that is engaging and intuitive.

Design UI

Design (UI)

3 weeks

From the Wireframes we produce, we will then design either bespoke templates for each page of the website (in mobile and desktop resolutions), or look to design a component builder approach. The designs will be prototyped with minimal micro-animations, and show examples of more complex animations.

Once the design for all the page templates has been signed off, we will produce a Functional Specification for the website. This will outline the functionality and features of each page so you know what will be delivered. We'll begin the web development using the appropriate technology for the front and back ends.

FAQ's

+ How long does a typical web design and development project take?

Project timelines typically range from 8-16 weeks depending on complexity and scope. Our 14-week workflow covers everything from immersion and strategy to development and launch, ensuring thorough attention to every detail.

+ What are the latest trends in web design and development I should know about?

Current trends include immersive animations, micro-interactions, bold typography, minimalist design, dark mode optimization, and AI-powered personalization. We focus on implementing trends that enhance user experience and align with your brand identity, not just following fads.

+ How does web design impact SEO and my site's visibility on Google?

Web design significantly impacts SEO through site speed, mobile responsiveness, user experience, and technical structure. We implement Technical SEO best practices, optimize performance, ensure mobile-first design, and create clean code that search engines love.

+ What's the difference between custom and template-based web design?

Custom design is built specifically for your brand, offering unique functionality, complete creative control, and scalability. Template-based design uses pre-built themes with limited customization. We specialize in tailor-made solutions that capture your brand's unique identity and deliver exceptional performance.

+ How do I maintain my website once it's live?

We build user-friendly CMS platforms (like WordPress) that make content updates simple. We also offer comprehensive support packages including regular updates, security patches, performance monitoring, and technical assistance to keep your site running smoothly.

+ What should I expect to pay for professional web design and development services?

Our projects typically range from £30k to £150k, with a minimum project size of £25k. Costs depend on scope, functionality, and complexity. We prefer fixed-price agreements with milestone payments, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project.
